Heading to Rome this easter only for a weekend but still going to be awesome! Always wanted to travel to Italy. Looking forward to seeing some of the usual tourist hot spots especially the colosseum so much history steeped there albeit bloody.
I managed to see the Watchmen recently in the cinema while up in aberdeen. Having not read the graphic novel I had no preconceived expectations for the film. There had been so much hype for this film I really felt I was in for a treat. However this was not to be the movie dragged out for me it did a good job of revealing the characters to the audience but there just wasnt enough punch in the movie to keep it interesting for me. I think this was a movie for the fans and not the casual movie go-er. 7/10
This is another movie I managed to sit down and watch. Having read Twilight and with a renewed interest in the vampire genre I started doing some hunting around and this name popped up. It was given great reviews so I gave it a shot. I really expected this to be a scarey, bloody slasher type movie what I found was entirely different its actually a beautiful film which begins with a young boy (Oskar) who is bullied at school by a gang of boys who happens to meet and attract the interest of a 12 year old girl vampire (Eli). The movie is in swedish there are plans for an american remake but I cant see why as its already good enough. Decent movie which keeps a nice pace and tone throughout the film as you want to learn more about the characters. Definitely one for the collection. 9/10
