I was playing around with my new Canon Powershot G6 camera over the weekend, since it was raining heavily I decided on some indoor photography instead. I wanted to do some macro photography so headed into our display cabinet and took out my Be@rBrick figurines, I set about familiarising myself with the cannon menu. Using my desklamp for lighting I managed to capture a couple of interesting shots before the battery started to die. I got the hang of the camera now so can't wait to get shooting next weekend.
After paying for some larger prints from Jessops the quality was good but the images were cropped and the colours completely different to what I had expected was alittle disappointing.
I went out and bought a new ink cartridge and some photographic paper to test the quality so I could start printing my own pictures at home. While the Ink cartridges are around £15-20 eek! (starting to become more expensive than the printer itself) My first picture after a couple of tweaks in Lightroom turned out beautifully, really impressed by the quality it has a professional feel about it.
Now all need to do is start taking more pictures worth printing!
