Had a brilliant day today the weather in Edinburgh was fantastic clear skies and loads of sunshine. Planned to head off fishing early morning but after a few problems finally set off in the afternoon with Dean, Cara and the dogs. We decided on Well's Field Trout Fishery near Denny. Its a nice little fishery with friendly staff but unfortunately as we found out no dogs allowed and the owner joked he would shoot the dog if it was off the leash.. harsh! a joke but probably some truth to it.
It was a beautiful day for sunbathing maybe not great for fishing we booked ourselves in for 4 hours and set about fishing and 4 hours later nothing not even so much as a bite from both of us. Seen a couple of people catch towards the end of our session as the sun started to set. Bit of a disappointing day with regards to the fishing but I was just happy to be out there and enjoy some sunshine.
Got back around 9pm and since the dogs didn’t get much exercise we decided to head up to Blackford hill to give them a walk also gave me a chance to use my camera outside for once. As the sun was finally setting managed to take some nice silhouette shots of Edinburgh from the top of the hill.
Great day hope the weather stays like this, it has been a real treat.
